East Bali: Besakih Temple and Lempuyang Gates of Heaven Private Tour

The tour was excellent. Definitely worth it. We started the day with a coffee plantation and tasting. They had about 12 different kinds of local coffee to try and they were delicious. I don't even drink coffee, but it was good. We bought a bunch of coffee there to being home. Next we went to the waterfall which was a lot of fun and refreshing on a hot day. We then had lunch at a local restaurant. After that we went to the Water Palace which was absolutely breathtaking. The fish that they have there are massive, and there are so many of them. Finally to finish it off we went to the Gates of Heaven for the photo. The wait time was about an hour. Subagia was our guide and he was excellent. He would point out anything of interest along the way. He explained to us a lot about the local culture as well. Subagia was also an excellent driver. The roads here are very crowded and disorganized. I would not want to drive here myself. 10/10

I had a wonderful tour visiting a sacred Hindu temple, a traditional Balinese village, and a beautiful waterfall. Everything went smoothly and we were able to see all the planned spots. Bayur was an excellent driver—punctual, attentive, and very kind. Highly recommended!

Guide très sympathique ! Connaît son sujet et répond avec beaucoup d’entrain ! Le restaurant où on a déjeuner était fabuleux ! Les temples très beaux ! Le petit bémol c’est le trajet en voiture, mais ça… on ne peut rien y faire ..!! Superbe excursion !!

Visiting Heaven’s Gate at Lempuyang Temple was simply magical — one of the most breathtaking places I have ever seen. The view of Mount Agung framed by the temple gates is awe-inspiring, and the atmosphere carries a serene, almost spiritual calm. Every moment of the journey there is worth it; the setting feels sacred and profoundly moving. A special word of appreciation for our guide, who was kind, courteous, patient and exceptionally knowledgeable. He enriched the experience with thoughtful explanations, helped us capture wonderful photographs and ensured that every detail of the visit ran smoothly.

Out first stop was Lempuyang temple, our ticket number for our photograph was 136 so we had a very long wait. Gorgeous place with amazing views. then we went onto Tirta Ganga, this place is beautiful, lunch was our next stop, lovely place, food very good. Unfortunately we didn't make it to Besakih as our driver said we had run out of time.

Le chauffeur était très gentil et la voiture très confortable. Nous avons commencé par le temple de Besakih j’ai été confié à un guide, le temple était beau mais le moment a été gâché par le guide du temple expéditif sur la visite et qui m’a mis la pression pour que je lui donne de l’argent, c’est le premier balinais désagréable que j’ai rencontré. Ensuite Lempuyang, je dirai inutile, trop de touriste et rien à voir a part les fameuses Heaven Gâtés. Le temple de Tirta ganga en revanche était incroyable beaucoup de touristes mais très beau, les touristes sont tous au même endroit pour LA photo Instagram et le reste du temple est quasi vide. Il vaut mieux commencer par celui là si vous avez l’occasion. Bref si c’était à refaire je ne reprendrai pas cette activité et je n’irai qu’à Tirta Gangga.

The driver was kind and friendly, and he took great care of us, bringing us back safely from the long journey.❤️My father enjoyed it the most, as he shared many things about Balinese culture.❤️ I hope GetYourGuide can take note of the road conditions or journey in advance before arranging the package, or inform customers about them before the tour day.

Nous avons passé une excellente journée grâce à notre guide, malgré les intempéries qu'il y a eu il a réussis à nous faire d'autre activité qui était pas prévue de base car malheureusement le temple de besakih était impossible d'accès. Les activités était super super, la dégustation de café, le temple des chauves souris, tirta gangga et pour finir la porte de lempuyang. Le trajet était assez long nous venions du sud de l'île mais avec notre guide le temps est passé très vite. De tres belle photos ont été prise par lui même merci a lui. Je recommande.
