After all the horror stories I had read about boat trips to the islands, our trip ran smoothly. The staff were great, plenty of seats for everyone and seats were comfortable. Only thing, was no air con.

Weather was bad on the original day of my trip, got it cancelled and repurchased for the next day directly through Semabu Group. Will reuse!

They were very accommodating. We got stuck in traffic and they responded promptly with our updates. They were able to wait for us until boarding time for check in so we did not miss our booking!

Ngurah was an excellent guide, as a single traveler he made the trip very relaxed. He was informative and friendly. He even went above and beyond and guided me in getting a return ticket home.

Initial fast boat Semabu Hill from Sanur to Nusa Penida, traveled with 3 large luggage; we had to carry luggage thru sand and our clothes and items were wet when we unpacked at the hotel. Once at our Hotel in Nusa Penida, found out that Maruti goes from dock to dock, therefore no sand, easier to transport large or heavy luggage and no items got wet.

Es hat alles gut geklappt. Wir sind recht pünktlich gestartet und auch pünktlich angekommen. Der Wartebereich war recht überfüllt und wahnsinnig warm. Ansonsten waren die Mitarbeiter wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren zufrieden. An Bord gab es keine Klimaanlage aber Ventilatoren.

Everything went very well and smooth, everyone was friendly and helpful, they took good care of the luggage as well. The only thing to be aware of is as mentioned in the description you need to firstly redeem your voucher to actual ticket in their office, which is 5 mins walk from the harbor.

The trip was fast and it's worth it. Keep in mind (it's also stated somewhere) that you have to walk a small passage to the pier in the water. But it goes max to the knees. They bring the luggage separately, so you don't have to carry it around in the water.

This boat didn't have AC, but it was good value for money.

Nusa Penida to Samur experience was a lot better than Sanur to the island. Very organised, they took our bags and loaded the boat so we didn’t have to carry them ourselves. Check in was fast and easy. Boat ride was good, no safety briefings however life jackets were in our seats. They loaded up the boat and back exit with bags so you could not get out the back of the boat or use the toilet but that’s Bali style!

Great! Just remember you have to walk in water so wear shorts and use a backpack. The ride was so nice and peaceful.

Perfect way to go from Bali (Sanur) to Nusa Penida. Quick and comfortable! Highly recommended!

It was a comfortable trip and the boat departed on the scheduled time.

The staff at Sanur port were friendly. I noticed that the staff only helped some people with their luggage down the steep and long stairs, they didn't help me. The escalators didn't work. It was a long walk from the waiting room to the fast boat. They should have organized the luggage transport from the waiting room to the fast boat differently, as it is physically very, very tiring for the workers (stairs, long walk, heavy luggage, high temperatures). Otherwise, the sailing was good.

We were on Lucky Monkey boat. it was very comfortable but the windows were at head height so you could not see out. very prompt and organised staff.

Semabu is organized and on time. However there is no air conditioning and they refuse to turn on their fans. So it can get quite hot inside the boat at times. Also some turbulence at times but was bearable. I traveled in march 2025.

The Semabu group speedboats were well organized and efficient. Great value for the money. Would recommend them to friends.
